Should we do something about this or wait 50 years until the definitive proof is in?

Record setting heat in the US west, floods in Texas, drought in the south, vast majority of the worlds best atmospheric scientists agree that human activity re greenhouse gas emissions is accelerating global climate change. But it's not a slam dunk solid proof beyond all doubt type of thing. Should we act on it now do you think..... or should we wait another 50 years when we'll have the proof?
