Is America too racist to visit?

My name is Schlierkompf and I am from Germany. I am go to visit the American city of Philadelphia. I have never been to the America before and I am scared because I hear white Americans are very very racist, and even though I am white too, I am still scared because racism is scary. I am thinking maybe I should stay in a neighborhood that has only the Afrocan Americans because I have seen them on tv and they are very funny like the chris rock and super cools like the flo-rida. I have heard of a place called West Philadelphia from super cool fresh prince and I think it would have nice Afrocan Americans and not racist white Americans. Is this a nice place to stay??
